Shallowater ISD strictly prohibits bullying, which may include hazing, threats, taunting, teasing, assault, extortion, confinement, destruction of property, theft, name-calling, spreading rumors, and exclusion. Bullying may also occur through electronic means, known as "cyberbullying."

If a student feels they have been bullied or have witnessed another student being bullied, it is crucial for the student or their parent to report the incident to a teacher, counselor, principal, or any district employee as soon as possible. The administration will investigate all reports of bullying and take appropriate disciplinary action if bullying is confirmed. Action may be taken even if the behavior doesn't fully meet the definition of bullying.

In line with HB 1942 and Board Policy FFI (LOCAL), campus administrators will conduct a thorough investigation of all bullying allegations. For purposes of this policy, the term "bullying" includes cyberbullying. Please contact your child's principal if you have any questions regarding FFI (LOCAL).

Shallowater ISD offers an online reporting system (STOPit Solutions), accessible via the button at the top of this page. Reports can be made anonymously, but all will be thoroughly investigated by district staff.
