2022 Bond Construction - June Update

WOW! Things have started rolling at every campus. It is amazing what they have done in just a few days. Middle school locker rooms are ready to go down, and walls and flooring have been removed in the office area. High school classrooms have been cleared and almost all the current flooring has been removed getting ready for the next step. The elementary school is cleared out in 1st grade and PK and asbestos abatement is almost finished. Dirt work is beginning at elementary and intermediate school, getting ready for additions. What a whirlwind!

One notable change in the construction plan revolves around the reevaluation of the secure entryways at each of our schools. With the safety and security of students and staff as our top priority, the opportunity to enhance these aspects through bond renovations has been carefully considered. The district’s ability to remain under budget in other areas of construction has allowed for the opportunity to explore ways to further secure our campuses. We continue to work closely with the architects throughout the redesign process and are confident that the changes will ultimately improve the safety and security of our people.
